Jack`s Story

Jack was born in Gichagi, Kangemi Nairobi. His parents come from Uganda, the mother is unemployed while the father is a waiter in a local restaurant, he is the third born in a family of six. Jack. started his primary at Kangemi primary school but when he reached class eight he dropped out, the reason is because of a documentation issue. He lacks a birth certificate which is necessary for doing a Kenya certificate of primary education. They are struggling to afford meals and other basic needs at home. 

This resulted in him losing hope in life, he would stay on the streets and also smoke bhang and drink alcohol. Through rehabilitation and empowering initiative under the education program at The Ngao Foundation, that is when Jack came for assistance. This initiative is aimed at providing hands-on training skills for boys who were living on the streets and girls who are in vulnerable conditions. The organization provided him with a platform to learn new skills through the above initiative.

Jack is one of the brightest students in his class. He wants to become an electrical engineer and be able to provide for his family and also help other underprivileged people in society. A donation of 600 USD will enable Jack to complete his grade 3 level he still has two more grades ( 2 and 1) to do to complete his diploma.
