Borehole drilling in progress at Oloishorua — a major milestone toward sustainable access to clean water.
Dear friends, supporters, and valued donors of the Oloishorua Centre,
We are delighted to share extraordinary news with you: we have successfully struck water.
This milestone in the Oloishorua Borehole Drilling Project marks a transformative moment for the community. After dedicated planning, prayer, and partnership, life-giving water has been reached.
Water is life — and today, life has triumphantly emerged at Oloishorua.
The world produces enough food to feed all 8 billion people. Yet, 1 in 9 goes hungry every day. 26% of children in Kenya suffer from malnutrition. Malnutrition stunts children’s growth, causes depression, and leads to inability to work due to muscle weakness. Over 14.5 million Kenyans face food insecurity while 8.9 million live in extreme poverty. Our organization focuses on vulnerable families in the informal settlements and slums providing meals, counseling, clean water, and support groups.
We save children from scavenging and stealing to find something to eat. Slums and informal settlements are home to thousands of children and families. Food provides a sense of relief, hope, comforts reaffirming a person’s dignity and humanity. Ultimately, food is not just sustenance but a critical step toward recovery and rebuilding lives.
