She lives with her parents and her other six siblings in Kangemi. The mother is a casual laborer and the father is a painter. The covid pandemic affected them so hard to the point that the family would go hungry for days and the mother sometimes would beg for food from the neighbors and well-wishers.<\/p>\n<p>Victoria was on the verge of dropping out of school due to the tough challenges that the family was facing, which were providing food and clearing rent arrears. To Victoria the thought of not attending classes anymore caused a lot of stress, also if she was to drop out, she would be in danger of getting exposed to drugs and sexual exploitation. This made The Ngao Foundation come to her rescue.<\/p>\n<p>She is now in secondary school and during holidays she normally helps in mentorship activities.
