Eshter is a nutritionist with two years of experience, passionate on changing lives to a healthier condition. She beliefs that medicine without proper healthy diet is of no need and the food you eat can either be the safest and most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison. She received her Diploma from the Kenya School of Medical Science & Technology and now she is certified and licensed by Kenya Nutritionists & Dieticians Institute (KNDI) Board. Esther is currently working with The Ngao Foundation as the Food and Nutrition Program officer. Throughout life in collage, she worked with several healthy facilities in offering medical services to communities where she got several certificates of participation. After school accomplishment she did internship at Machakos Level V Hospital where she also earned a certificate as a Nutritionist.
Apart from coordinating the food and nutrition program, Esther plays another important roles at the office where she works as the office administrator and the accounts personnel. Her cooperation and wiliness to learn new things makes her run this office duties more comfortably. Esther’s hobbies and interests are clearly shown by what she enjoys most, she loves games like volleyball, dancing, running around with children and team building activities. When she is not cooking or thinking of what to cook, she is active in games. These games help her keep physically fit and she knows later at old age she will not face complicated healthy problems. Her passion to work with the community and especially children makes her job more enjoyable.
In the food and nutrition program she is in charge of facilitating and monitoring the activities that are included in the project. These activities target the vulnerable families from Kangemi informal settlement with the aim of changing their daily health through nutrition. These activities include: weekends children feeding, weekly family food distribution and monthly nutrition education training.
